One of our first-ever, limited-edition barrel aged sours as part of our Henry Lawson series, an homage to one of Mudgee’s most famous residents. Each beer features custom bottle artwork and titles derived from Henry Lawson’s works.

Tasting notes

This barrel aged beer has a beautiful, soft fruitiness, is light, zippy and not overly sour. Perfect as a light pairing with food.

Brewer’s notes

A two-year collaboration culminating in this rosé lager, with 2023 Shiraz from Robert Stein Winery. We released most of this batch two years ago, before assigning a limited volume to be barrel aged for 18 months and bottle conditioned for 7 months.

It’s a beautifully light and spritz-y beer. Not intensely sour, with a lovely tartness to complement a very unique and complex barrel aged beer. A beer that will be well enjoyed by craft beer drinkers and non-beer drinkers too.
